Halo: The Master Chief Collection Coming to PS5 in 2025, According to a Source

The rumor of Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming to PS5 is back again, and this time it comes from a very reliable source.

Over the past period, many different sources have appeared that talked about Microsoft's intention to bring more first-party games to external platforms, most notably the PS5, during the year 2025. Although Microsoft has already confirmed the arrival of both DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 to Sony platforms, rumors have begun to talk about more other titles.

NateDrake , a reliable source for many leaks that were later proven true through the latest episodes of the podcast, talked about Halo: The Master Chief Collection, in addition to Microsoft Flight Simulator, both titles are on their way to the PS5 platform, as well as the Nintendo Switch 2 during this year 2025.

The same source added that Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, DOOM: The Dark Ages, The Outer Worlds 2, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake will all be released on the PS5 platform this year.

NateDrake added that all Microsoft games from first-party studios that will be revealed during 2025 will be released on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. But the only question remains when these games will arrive and whether they will be released at the same time as Xbox platforms or will be delayed for some time.

While a handful of Microsoft's 2025 titles have already been confirmed for PS5, there are still a few that haven't been announced, such as South of Midnight and RPG Fable. NateDrake also believes that if there is a Gears of War collection, it will likely launch on PS5 on day one.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes all the original series titles in enhanced versions, including Halo: Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 in one package, and releasing this complete package on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 will be an important step in bringing more fans to the series and opening the door to bringing new parts of it from day one to these platforms.
