After Forza Horizon 5, Gears of War Trilogy Could Be Coming to PS5

Seeing the return of the Gears of War trilogy, which was exclusive to Xbox, is a priority for action and shooter game fans, and news of its departure from exclusivity has been one of the oldest rumors in the gaming industry for years.

According to some of these rumors, the Gears of War trilogy was scheduled to be released on other platforms last year, but it was postponed for unknown reasons. However, the new transformation that Xbox is working on, which will move it from a gaming console manufacturer focused on exclusives, to a company that develops and publishes games on all gaming consoles, even its competitors, is something that reinforces what rumors say about the Gears of War game collection coming to the PS5 on the first day of the collection’s release.

Xbox's recent stunning announcement that its powerful exclusive Forza Horizon 5 will be released on PS5 this spring is a strong indication and confirmation that Xbox is implementing its new approach of releasing versions of its exclusives on competing platforms, because Forza Horizon 5 is undoubtedly one of the three most important exclusives owned by Xbox, along with Halo and Gears of War.

The new rumor comes from reliable leaker eXtas1s who claims that the Gears of War Trilogy will come to PlayStation 5 on the same day it releases on Xbox Series X|S and PC, explaining that Xbox is planning to re-release remastered versions of the action-shooter trilogy without specifying a date for this alleged release.

This is still a rumor, so we should be careful not to believe it immediately and pin our hopes on it. We may have a few months left before we find out the truth of this matter, so let's wait and see.

However, it is no longer unlikely after we saw more Xbox Studios games finding their way to the PS5 and Switch 2 platforms as well.
